NOTES

A Behind-the-Scenes Snapshot — And a Reminder to Stay Grounded

This season has been a blur of doors, meetings, fundraising, and a new puppy who has upended my sleep schedule.

Most mornings start around 3 or 4 a.m., when he needs to go outside.

Then again at 7 a.m.

Then playtime, a Celsius, and a sprint into the day.

Some days I’m on doors from noon to sunset.

Some days are wall-to-wall meetings.

Some days are fundraising call blocks because sustaining this field operation now requires it.

And every day ends the same: debriefing with Cleveland, eating dinner with my wife, watching an episode of our show of the moment (we most recently finished All Her Fault and are now watching both The Beast and Me and Force) and then working into the early hours building the infrastructure that keeps this campaign moving.

It’s not glamorous.

But it’s honest.

And it’s mine.

If there’s one reminder I’m holding onto this holiday season, it’s this:

The work grounds me, but home centers me.

Campaigns are chaotic.

But the life I’m building—a home with my wife, a puppy learning the world, a city I love—is the anchor that keeps me steady.

No matter how intense this moment is, I try to remember that service is a privilege and grounding is a choice.
