Job Title: Field Organizer

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana

This is a full-time or part-time contract position through May 2026. Evening and weekend availability required. About the Campaign

George Hornedo for Congress is building a next-generation, people-powered campaign to bring bold leadership to Indiana’s 7th Congressional District. We’re challenging a 17-year incumbent and a broken political system with a movement to get shit done for those left behind, rebuild the party so it can compete again, and fix what’s broken in our systems. And we’re looking for hard-working Field Organizers ready to help lead that work block-by-block.

What You’ll Do

  • Recruit, train, and mobilize volunteers for canvassing, phone banking, text banking, and digital outreach

  • Build real relationships in neighborhoods across Indianapolis, especially disengaged communities

  • Hit daily and weekly voter contact goals and help volunteers stay motivated, prepared, and supported

  • Help plan and run house parties, canvass launches, and community events that move people to act

  • Track field data, report what you’re hearing at the doors, and share insights that help shape strategy

  • Represent the campaign with respect, energy, and purpose whether at someone’s door or at a public event

  • Step in as needed to support the team because this is an all-hands campaign

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong communication skills, especially one-on-one and in community settings

  • Organized, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-moving, evolving campaign environment

  • Passionate about grassroots organizing and eager to build real relationships on the ground

  • Ability to work evenings/weekends and navigate neighborhoods across the district

  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn VAN

  • Deep ties to Indianapolis communities or willingness to embed locally for the duration of the campaign

  • Multilingual and/or culturally responsive experience is a plus
