George Hornedo Calls Out Rep. Carson for Not Joining ICE Impeachment Effort

Indianapolis, IN — Today, George Hornedo, Democratic candidate for Congress in Indiana’s 7th District, called out Rep. André Carson for failing to co-sponsor articles of impeachment against Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, despite 100 House Democrats signing on.

 

The impeachment resolution, led by Rep. Robin Kelly, targets abuses carried out by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) under the Department of Homeland Security.

 

“100 Democrats acted. André Carson didn’t,” Hornedo said. “At a moment when families are living in fear, silence is a choice.”

 

Hornedo noted that ICE activity and federal enforcement actions have become a top concern for voters across Indianapolis.

 

“This is not a symbolic moment,” Hornedo added. “It’s a test of leadership.”
