Indianapolis, IN — George Hornedo filed paperwork today to run for Congress in Indiana’s 7th District, formalizing a campaign focused on delivering results for Indianapolis families at a time when many feel Washington isn’t keeping up with the challenges on the ground.

 

Hornedo’s decision reflects growing frustration among voters who are struggling with rising costs, aging infrastructure, and public systems that aren’t working the way they should.

 

“Too many people feel like no one is showing up for them,” Hornedo said. “I’m running because leadership should be about listening, being present, and doing the work—not just holding a seat.”

 

After nearly two decades under the same representation, turnout in the district has lagged and trust in government has eroded, even as everyday pressures on families have increased.

 

Hornedo’s campaign has focused on direct voter contact across the district, emphasizing affordability, infrastructure, and restoring accountability in government. The campaign plans to roll out additional policy proposals and continue community engagement in the coming weeks.
