Hornedo Campaign Surpasses 1 Million Voter Outreach Attempts in IN-07
Friday, March 20
Indianapolis, IN — The George Hornedo for Congress campaign announced today that it has surpassed 1 million direct voter outreach attempts across Indiana’s 7th Congressional District, marking a major milestone for a grassroots, people-powered campaign focused on direct engagement.
Since launching, the campaign has:
-
Knocked 33,451 doors, reaching 54,530 residents
-
Made 933,096 phone calls
-
Sent 28,402 texts
-
Had 15,555+ one-on-one conversations with Indianapolis residents
Unlike traditional campaigns that rely heavily on television advertising and outside spending, the Hornedo campaign has prioritized meeting voters where they are—on their doorsteps, over the phone, and in their communities.
“This campaign has never been about TV ads or backroom conversations. It’s been about showing up and listening,” said Hornedo. “Everywhere we go, we hear that people want to be seen, heard, and represented. That’s how you rebuild trust and that’s how I intend to govern.”
The milestone comes as the campaign enters its final stretch ahead of the May primary, continuing its focus on engaging voters who are often overlooked in traditional political outreach.
Hornedo’s campaign has emphasized a bottom-up approach centered on rebuilding trust in government, expanding civic participation, and ensuring that federal leadership is responsive to the needs of Indianapolis communities.
