INDIANAPOLIS — Today, Democratic congressional candidate George Hornedo (IN-07) announced that he will reject all corporate PAC money in his campaign. The commitment underscores Hornedo’s belief that public leadership should be accountable to people, not corporate interests.
“If we want to rebuild trust in politics, we have to break our dependence on corporate money and start putting people first,” said George Hornedo. “This is about who our leaders serve, and the only people I serve are the people of Indiana.
Hornedo’s campaign has already gained national momentum, with coverage in The New York Times, CNN, and Axios. His pledge reinforces a broader movement posture: one that centers community voice, grassroots donations, and direct voter engagement.
The no-corporate-PAC pledge sets a sharp contrast with Rep. André Carson who has accepted corporate PAC money over his tenure.
“This is about values and how I intend to lead,” said Hornedo. “The era of politics as usual is ending. Let’s build something better.”
